Geje Eustaquio to headline Indonesia ONE card vs ex-champ
“Gravity” Geje Eustaquio will be featured in a main event, when he squares off against former ONE flyweight champion Kairat Akhmetov of Kazakhstan in ONE: Total Victory at Jakarta Convention Center in Indonesia on September 16.
On a high after his masterful win over Anatpong Bunrad last May, Eustaquio plans to impress fans again when he shares the cage with Akhmetov.
“This is a huge bout against a former world champion, it is very important to me . . . [Kairat] Akhmetov is a world-class martial artist and I can’t wait to test my skills against him,” Eustaquio said.
Akhmetov, a veteran with an impressive 23-1 record, is a well-rounded fighter with superb wrestling and strong striking skills.
In his only defeat, Akhmetov bowed to divisional rival Adriano Moraes via decision.
