Frayna bows to Ukrainian

MANILA, Philippines - Janelle Mae Frayna bowed to fourth seed Evgeniya Doluhanova of Ukraine and dropped out of the top 10 after six rounds of the Women’s International Open in Erfurt, Germany Wednesday night.

It was Frayna’s first loss after the 21-year-old Filipina  scored 3.5 points in the first five rounds, highlighted by a win over WGM Galina Strutinskaia of Russia and three draws against WGMs Joanna Majdan of Poland and Ilze Berzina of Latvia and Woman International Master Nino Khomeriki of Georgia.

She also bested Victoria Wagner of Germany in the opening round.
