Catalan in high spirits with three-fight winning streak in ONE Championship
MANILA, Philippines — Victory has eluded Rene Catalan thrice early into his career.
So it only felt right that he has snared three straight victories.
Against Huo You Ga Bu on Friday night, the Iloilo native notched his latest win. Catalan scored a unanimous decision over his Chinese foe to kick off the preliminaries of ONE Championship’s “Quest for Greatness” in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
“Who would have thought that I can accomplish this after I went through numerous trials that I encountered in the past? Now I am here. My happiness is overflowing,” Catalan said.
“I would like to thank God Almighty for bestowing this sweet victory upon me. It’s my third-straight victory,” he added.
