McGregor got KO'd in sparring? Floyd doesn't buy it
Rumors that Conor McGregor got knocked out in a sparring session
ahead of his boxing showdown with Floyd Mayweather Jr. have been
spreading online.
Mayweather, however, remains skeptical unless he has evidence.
“My
take is if I ain't seen no footage, I don't believe it,” the American
boxer, who has yet to see a loss in 49 fights, told Fight Hype.
Former welterweight champion Jessie Vargas was earlier quoted as saying that he heard about McGregor being knocked out in sparring while preparing for his high-profile bout with Mayweather.
“They said he got knocked out in sparring already, man,” Vargas told Bleacher Report.
“The boxing world is small, it's a small circle.”
