Markelle Fultz eager for first game
The Philadelphia 76ers play their first game in the Utah Jazz Summer League on Monday against the Boston Celtics. The No. 1 pick in the 2017 NBA draft, Markelle Fultz, is looking forward to his first game with the Sixers.
"I'm definitely excited to play against them," Fultz told The Intelligencer. "It's another opportunity for me to play a game of basketball."
The Celtics did own the top pick in the draft but dealt it to the Sixers. At No. 3, the Celtics selected Duke's Jayson Tatum.
After the Sixers play three games in Utah, the team will move to the Las Vegas Summer League, which will give Fultz more opportunity to improve his game and gain some valuable experience.
"[I'll] just give it my all and see where that takes me, see what I need to improve on, see what I'm good at and just go from there," Fultz said.
