Cargo Movers march back to finals vs Blaze Spikers
Petron trounced Foton even as F2 Logistics routed Cignal Thursday night to arrange a best-of-three title fight in the Philippine Superliga All-Filipino Conference at Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan City.
The Blaze Spikers hacked out a 25-21, 22-25, 25-9, 26-16 win over the Tornadoes, while the defending champion Cargo Movers zoomed past the flustered HD Spikers, 25-15, 25-15, 25-14, earlier.
The championships will begin on July 11.
National player Aby Maraño anchored F2 Logistics’ fast-paced game, gliding her way to 10 points, including a running attack and a solo block for the match’s last two points.
“We really, really wanted to win this game not just because we want to get back at Cignal which beat us in the preliminaries, but also because we want to make the championships,” said the flamboyant middle-blocker.
F2 Logistics coach Ramil de Jesus commended Maraño’s game, saying “it looks like she wanted to eat our opponents alive.”
