TNT KaTropa try again
ONE team tries to stay alive while the other seeks to end it all as Barangay Ginebra and Talk ‘N Text collide today in the crucial Game 4 of their PBA Commissioner’s Cup semifinal series.
Just when everybody was expecting the best-of-5 series would be over last Thursday, the Gin Kings came out with arguably one of their best offensives and stopped the finals berth-seeking Texters to remain alive.
Now, the Gin Kings will try to go for a follow-up to their breaks-laden 125-101 Game 3 victory in their bid to forge a ‘rubber’ against the Texters whom they will meet at 5 p.m. at the Cuneta Astrodome.
Actually, the Gin Kings got a huge break during Game 3 after the TNT’s import Joshua Smith tweaked his foot and was not able to finish the game.
The Gin Kings handily beat the Texters to reduce the TNT’s lead to 2-1, but at the moment, it is not clear whether the hulking TNT import will suit up in Game 4.
According to reports, the MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) performed on Smith did not reveal anything serious, although Joshua is said to be still complaining of pain which makes him a game time decision today.
