Santos livid over fellow FEU alum Pogoy’s hit to his groin
Arwind Santos was still fuming over Roger Pogoy’s hit on his groin after San Miguel’s 102-88 victory over TNT in Game 2 of the 2017 PBA Commissioner’s Cup Finals.
The veteran forward said that he’d rather have Pogoy punch him in the face rather than low-blow him again.
“Kung gusto niya ng ganun, di bale na sa mukha niya ako suntukin. Kaysa sa ano dahil kaligayahan natin yun eh,” he said, reflecting on the heated exchange he and the TNT rookie had early in the third period.
Santos jumped to rebound Alex Cabagnot’s already-made layup, but Pogoy seemingly went for an upper-cut under his outstretched legs, hitting his man parts.
Infuriated, the former MVP as he exchanged words with his fellow Far Eastern U alumnus as the game was momentarily halted at the 8:36 mark of the third quarter.
“Kung di ako magkaanak, kasalanan pa niya. Mabuti na lang meron na akong anak. Eh paano kung gusto pa ng asawa ko?,” he said, eliciting laugh from the reporters in the post-game scrum.
