San Miguel roughs up TNT in Game 2 to level title series

During a break in the action and his team behind by 28 points, TNT coach Nash Racela could be heard over the TV mic telling his team, "We'll just study for the next game."

Racela's statement of resignation came with an entire fourth quarter yet to be played. He just knew nothing could be done to stop a San Miguel team in full throttle.

Chris Ross scored 20 points and stuffed the stat sheet as he has normally done, while June Mar Fajardo finished with a double-double, as San Miguel pummeled TNT 102-88 in Game 2 of the championship round of the PBA Commissioner's Cup at Araneta Coliseum on Friday.

The best-of-7 series is now tied, with the finals returning to the Big Dome for Game 3 on Sunday.

Fajardo scored a team-high 22 points and pulled down 11 rebounds, while Ross registered 5 rebounds, 9 assists and 4 steals.

Arwind Santos, who came off the bench in the first half to lead San Miguel's comeback efforts, scored 16 points and made 4 3-pointers.
