San Beda's final roster will still depend on players' grades

With barely two weeks to go before the opening of Season 93 NCAA men’s basketball tournament, San Beda College has yet to come up with its final lineup.

The Red Lions, who recently crushed the De La Salle University Green Archers for the 2017 FilOil Flying V Preseason Tournament title, might still undergo changes with its roster based on the academic performance of their players, according to team manager Jude Roque.

San Beda is still waiting for players' grades to come out later Tuesday. Josh Albeda, ABS-CBN Sports
“’Yung final line-up namin is still undecided kasi we’re expecting the final grades to come out this (Tuesday) afternoon,” Roque said at the Philippine Sportswriters Association (PSA) forum at Golden Phoenix Hotel in Pasay City
.
Roque said this will be the decider, especially with their three imports, as the league allows each team to field in only two. San Beda is choosing among three foreign-student athletes -- Arnaud Noah, Eugene Toba, and Donald Tankoua.

“May mga candidates sa team na incomplete pa 'yung grades, e. They include the three imports,” said Roque.

San Beda is hoping to keep the core of the team that swept Arellano University in the Season 92 Finals, which includes Robert Bolick, Jayvee Mocon, Davon Potts, Joe Presbitero.
