Ancajas to fight in US if he wins vs Japanese foe

MANILA -- World junior bantamweight champion Jerwin Ancajas is out to make a good account of himself when he defends his crown against Teiru Kinoshita in the undercard of the Pacquiao-Horn fight in Brisbane, Australia on July 2.

His trainer Joven Jimenez announced during Tuesday’s Philippine Sportswriters Association Forum at Golden Phoenix Hotel in Pasay City that Ancajas will be featured in ESPN Live together with all the main bouts of the card.

“Kung manalo siya, may tsansa siyang makalaban sa US. Kasama siya ngayon sa ila-live ng ESPN,” he said.

“Kaya tinitignan siya ngayon kung pupwede ba siyang lumaban doon at kung anong meron kay Jerwin.”

Ancajas, who will be flying with Pacquiao to Australia on Saturday, is already nearing his peak condition for the bout.

It will be his second title defense since wresting the belt from McJoe Arroyo of Puerto Rico.
